What is it that seems to get most Grammar Nazi's going?

I was thinking, What is the most common thing about Grammar Nazi's, what is it that gets most of them going? We watched some videos in class earlier in the semester but seriously out of the thousands there has got to be at least one main point they are all trying to get across. So I watched a series of videos and when I mean I watched a bunch of videos I mean too many and some of them I wish I could erase from my mind. I swear some people are just nuts about grammar to the point i even saw a shirt that said I'm secretly correcting your grammar!

I decided I would start with searching grammar rants on youtube and then filter it down to posts put up this month alone and there were over 6,510 results. In this month alone? Really? So after watching a bunch of videos here is what I learned. Most of the videos are about the improper use of to, too and two, there, their, and they're, lose and loose, etc. as well as the battle between using proper grammar on Internet or not. I too have an issue with the simple words being misused as often as they are since I feel that those are basic grammar that is taught to us in elementary school. Mistakes happen but fix them, don't ignore them which is also a point many people brought up. Many people seem to not care that they made a mistake. Also I think I may be changing my point of view about proper grammar on the Internet. I get aim talk or facebook talk when shortening words and all that but there is no need to misspell everything else too is there? And One video brought up the point text messages started using "u" instead of "you" because texting had a limited amount of characters you were allowed per message where as the Internet you don't have a limit. You can use as many words as you would like. Then to back that up, another video emphasized grammar is practice so writing in improper grammar also is practicing bad habits. I thought about that for awhile and was like crap I have noticed that some times when writing papers I will write "u" instead of "you". Thankfully I catch myself.

I also found a series of grammar rants I found to be very amusing. This one guy attempts to read some of the worst grammar sentences posted by people on tumbler, facebook, etc. I really think you should watch this since it gets pretty funny. He may be a little out there by using alcohol every time he messes up but I think that adds to the humor of these already ridiculous sentences.
